Changed front bumpers
to a more reinforced style. Commonly called "overrider
bumpers"... also called "towel bars" or "monkey bars".
New overrider bumper is the same on both trucks and standard buses. (Late -Aug.
for 59 model year)

Changed rear bumper to
overrider style.
The new bumper is a truck only version. However, the only slight difference is a
small notch on the inside of the main
blade to clear the sharp corner of a truck.
Many people buy a standard bus bumper and notch it themselves, as correct
notched versions are hard to find. (late, Aug. For 59 model year)

VW
sees that Binz sales are really taking off, so they decide to try and take over. Double cab production begins
at the VW factory (late). Binz production still continues.
VW makes their own side gates
as opposed to the custom Binz ones. The difference being- VW cut the center section out
instead of the front most forward section like Binz did. Still just a Single cab hacked
gate. (changes in mid60)
