TRIPOD.COM royally screwed me over!!
I had a free 50 meg account with tripod.com who was the host of DROPGATES.COM. I ran out of space so I upgraded to their stupid new service called "tripod plus". I was SUPPOSED to get 25 extra megs ( for a total of 75 megs) for 4.99 a month.

Sound to good to be true?

It was.

I emailed the tech support countless times to make sure before I paid, that it would be EXTRA megs cause the wording they used seemed to be trickery and false.

It was.

Only responses I received from them was scripted BS that had nothing to do with my simple questions.  One day I was fed up with having no space left, so I went ahead and bought the tripod plus account......After I had paid them, I found out that I *only* got 25 megs to start with, but that I got all sorts of stupid "free" special things only available with their tripod plus account. If I wanted more then 25 megs I would have to pay even more, making it not worth staying with them. I immediately cancelled my upgrade 30 seconds later, hoping to go back to my free 50 meg account while I searched for a new host.

Yah right.

I click cancel and find out that I've now been downgraded to a mere 20 megs!!! That is the normal "free" meg's that they now give to all users. 
So not only do I have less then when I started, I dont even have what I had to pay for!! Then they inform me that I am now 25 megs OVER my limit (cause im downgraded to 20) and that they will start randomly deleting files from my site until I am down to 20 megs!!!
THEN to add salt on my open wound, they "temporarily suspend" my website, because I began downloading all pics and pages from the FTP to save as backups, so they said I exceeded my daily Bandwidth alotment?!?! WTF?!?!

What a joke!!!
Rot in hell you tripod bastards!!
